Ryan Patrick Coppola

Ryan Patrick Coppola of Philadelphia passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019 from intoxication by drugs.  He was 35 years old.  Ryan was raised in Chester Springs, PA and is survived by his parents, Ronald & Patricia (nee Doebler) Coppola, his brother, Colin, and sister, Catherine.  He also leaves behind his beloved dog, BB, and many family members and friends.  

Ryan packed a lot into his 35 years.  He graduated from Downingtown High School in 2002 and East Carolina University in 2006 as a Sociology major and self-designed Sustainability minor.  Ryan was a self- employed entrepreneur who created the awarded "Fly Swooper", a cleaner, more humane alternative to the fly swatter.  He lead the "Help Save the Earth Foundation" to fight plastics in the Pacific Ocean.  During college, Ryan got his Broker's Real Estate license and later invested in Real Estate in California.

Ryan enjoyed sports and surfing and was a serious Karate student who earned his black belt in second grade.  Ryan especially loved hang gliding and competed and taught gliding.  He glided on both east and west coasts and in South America.  Ryan was raised Catholic but also enjoyed studying Buddhism extensively.  He enjoyed seeking knowledge and wisdom and he painted and recently wrote poetry.  Ryan had a big heart and was always concerned for the orphaned, the poor and the mistreated individuals and groups in our society.

Family and friends may join us on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Logan Funeral Home, 698 E. Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA  19341  Visitation will begin at 10:30 A.M. and there will be prayers at noon.  Burial will be private.
