Rose Castagna (Nee Alessandro), a long time resident of Clifton Heights, as well as Yeadon and Wildwood Crest, passed away on Saturday, the twelfth of October in her home where she had lived for the last 37 years surrounded by her loving family.
Rose was good with numbers and worked at an accounting firm in Narberth for seventeen years. She loved to crochet, cook, and bake cookies. She was well known for her cooking skills and her infamous holiday dinners.
Rose was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the matriarch of her family.
Rose was predeceased in death by her parents, Samuel and Mary, as well as her brothers Ralph and Edward Alessandro. She is survived by her husband, Vincent (Jim), who she has been married to for almost 70 years, her sister Jean Fulginiti, as well as her three children, James Castagna (Diane), Mary Ann Driscoll (Joe), and Regina Gabriel (Kenny), and her seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. Thursday, Oct. 17th at St. Louis Church, 821 W. Cobbs Creek Pkwy, Yeadon, PA 19050 where friends may call 9-10:20 A.M. at the Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
