Paul E. Salomone, Sr.

Paul E. Salomone, Sr. age 79 of Drexel Hill and formerly of Lansdowne and Secane, PA died August 20, 2018.  He was the son of the late Thomas  and Margaret (Natale) Salomone.  Paul was raised in Lansdowne, PA and attended Saint Philomena’s School and graduated from Lansdowne High School in 1954.

Paul was a family man who enjoyed joking around and reminiscing about his past experiences and those who shared them with him.  He could pick out someone he had not seen in years out of a crowd with ease, and if he didn’t know you, we are sure he knew your family. Paul enjoyed the casino’s, bowling, camping, and especially reading and crossword puzzle books. Paul was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan!!

Paul was employed by the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier for 25 years, and at the Interboro School District as a bus driver/aide for more than 30 years.  He was also a police officer in East Lansdowne in the 60’s and served in the US Army.

Predeceased by his wife Patricia (McGuigan) Salomone, his son Paul E. Salomone, Jr., daughter-in-law Lynn (Wages) Salomone,  two grandsons, James Paul "Paulie" Salomone and Vincent Salomone,  and  brothers Genaro & Thomas Salomone.

He is survived by his daughters Regina Salomone of Clifton Heights, PA and Anita Salomone (Larry) Mellon of Aldan, PA, and a son Thomas Salomone of Denver, CO,  grandchildren Larry Mellon, Jr., Dominic Salomone, Kim Mellon, Tori Salomone and Tony Salomone. He is also survived by his sister Carmela (Dolly) Cottone and brother John Salomone and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral mass 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Dorothy's Church, 4910 Township Line Rd., Drexel Hill, PA  19026 where friends may call 9-9:45 A.M.  A Visitation will also be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday evening at the Logan Funeral Home, 57 S. Eagle Rd., Havertown, PA  19083.  Interment Ss. Peter  & Paul Cemetery.
