Mary Agnes (Logan) Morris

Mary Agnes (nee Logan) Morris, 86 years old, of Drexel Hill, passed peacefully in her sleep Sunday, March 25​th​, 2018. Mary Agnes was born to William H Logan and Agnes on November 20​th​, 1931 at Misericordia Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Mary grew up in Yeadon and attended St. Louis Elementary and then Notre Dame High School, in Moylan, PA where she graduated at the top of her class. Mary went to Immaculata University on full scholarship and then transferred to Catholic University in Washington, DC graduating with a nursing degree. Mary went on to earn her Master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania for Education in Nursing. Mary met William J. Morris in January of 1972. ​Their courtship lasted four months ​and they married May 27, 1972. Mary taught nursing at Misericordia Hospital and Gwynedd Mercy University. She was a school nurse later to many children at Manoa, Sacred Heart, and St. Denis schools and lived most of her adult life in Drexel Hill, PA.  

Mary is predeceased by husband William J. Morris, siblings William H. Logan III, Marge Paris, Jimmy Logan and Jackie Logan as well as daughter Kathleen Morris Weckerly. 

Mary is survived by her children; William (Kathy), Maureen (Larry) Latocha, Stephen (Teresa), Patricia (Sue Thompson) and Daniel (Annette) Morris; twelve loving grandchildren; five great grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Kathleen Logan; brother-in-law, Jack Paris, and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation: Wednesday, April 4​th​ from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the Logan Funeral Home; 57 South Eagle Rd., Havertown, PA and Thursday morning, April 5th,  from 9:30 to 10:45 AM prior to Mass at St. Dorothy Church.

Funeral Mass: Thursday, April 5th, 11:00 AM, at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church located at 4910 Township Line Rd., Drexel Hill PA 19026.  

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
