Karen S. (nee Holstein) Stevenson, age 43, of Exton, PA passed on February 9, 2018 after a heroic battle with cancer. Karen, a former elementary school teacher and graduate of St. Joseph's University (B.S. and M.S.), had dedicated her life over the past decade to raising her four boys. She was an active volunteer, most recently serving as the PTO President at Mary C. Howse Elementary School and also as a basketball coach for Saints Philip and James CYO and the Malvern League. Karen had a love of sports, particularly baseball and basketball, and could generally be found at a local field or court watching her children play, or at a Phillies game. She battled her cancer bravely and with tremendous strength, never complaining and always focusing on the things for which she was grateful. She was the family matriarch and leader, loving and supportive and fiercely protective of her family and children. Her laugh and her smile were always present, even during her battle.
