Julia F. (nee Uzdavines) Noreik, age 92, passed away peacefully with family by her side after a long time sickness. Julia was married on January 4, 1947 to Joseph Noreik. They shared 52 years of marriage together.
Julia was born in Philadelphia. Julia was also a sheet metal worker at the Navy Yard where she helped build the USS NJ. Julia worked at Lit Brothers for many years until they moved to Ocean City, NJ. Julia worked at Fishermans Wharf on the Ocean City boardwalk for many years.
She was predeceased by her parents Andrew Uzdavines and Mary (Tolvaisa), her husband, Joseph (Weatie) Noreik, her son , Joseph Noreik, her brothers Andy Uzdavines, Billy Uzdavines, Mike Uzdavines, and sisters Sophie(Bill) Shuda, Mary Lepo, Helen Uzdavines and Josie Kimpel, her daughter Marie Smith and Son In-law John Kopaczewski.
Juila is survived by her son Raymond Noreik, daughters, Jean (Charlie) Ritchie, and Joanne Kopaczewski (Noreik). Sister-in-law Kim Uzdavines and Granddaughters Dana(Frank) D’Errico, Shana Smith, and Allison (Michael) Prokson. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren and many cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 11th at St. Gabriels Church, 29th & Dickinson Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19146 where friends may call 9:30-10:45 A.M. at the Church also. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
