June 1, 2018, age 99. Telford, PA, formerly of Yeadon. Husband of the late Virginia (nee Peters). Beloved father of Bob (Joan), Jim (Pat), Jack (Lynn), Don (Paula), Tom and Annie. Loving grandfather of Allison, Brian, Kathryn, David, Robyn, Ginny, Jay, Jessica, Jonathan, G. Matt, Sean, Teresa, Erika, Jackie, and Cheryl. Great-grandfather of 17.
Graduate of West Philadelphia HS and University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. US Army Air Corps, veteran of WWII, Bronze Star recipient, Air Service Command, India. Forty year employee of Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania. Avid golfer, tennis player, singer, guitarist, entertainer, and passionate Philadelphia sports fan.
"Old Gordo" was a dear friend to many, an intelligent, happy, kind soul, and always a gentleman.
Family and friends are invited to funeral services at Logan Funeral Home, 57 S. Eagle Rd, Havertown, PA 19083 on Thursday, June 7th at 10-11:30 AM. Burial at Fernwood Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
