Dorothy A. (Housler) Wood

Dorothy A. Wood, 93, of West Chester, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Brandywine Hospital after a short illness. She was married for 47 years to the late Harold L. Wood who passed away in 1995. 
Born in Emporium, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ray M. and Mary C. Housler. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother, Marie Pellam, Helen Erskine, and Raymond C. Housler all of Emporium. She was a member of several area Episcopal Churches where she served as acolyte seamstress, altar guild and prayer group member. For many years she worked as a resister calibrater at Vishay Americas Inc. of Malvern. 
She is survived by two sons, Richard C. Wood and wife Sandra, of Jonestown, PA, and James H. Wood and wife Clare of West Chester. She had four grandchildren, Steven R. Wood of Lebanon, PA, Marianne M. Wood of Jonestown, PA, Christopher J. Wood of Washington, DC, and Jean A. Wood of West Chester. 
A private gravesite funeral was held on Tuesday, March 6 with interment at Philadelphia Memorial Park.
