Concetta R. (Rosati) Verna

Concetta “Connie” R. (nee Rosati) Verna, of South Philadelphia, gracefully passed away on September 12, 2019 at the age of 93. Born on September 3, 1926, she is the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Anna Rosati. Preceded in passing by her siblings Sylvia Davacato, Carmella Rosati, and Frank “Chubby” Rosati. She is survived by her youngest sister, Patricia Nardiccio.

Wife of the late Albert C. Verna Sr., Connie is the cherished mother of Antoinette (George, deceased), Mary Ann (Frank Sr.), Albert (Maryann), and Sandra (Michael, deceased). She is the adored grandmother of Anthony (Donna), Frank Jr. (Lisa), Albert III, Gabby, and the late Albert Gaudioso. Also, the devoted great and great-great grandmother of Anthony III (Missy), Vincent, Frank III, Nicholas, Salvatore (Julia), Victoria (Dallas II), Devin, Anthony IV, Joseph, Khloe, Dallas III, Lyna, and Albert “Noah”. Connie also had many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Lastly, she will be greatly missed by her two pets, Cliff and Autumn. 

Connie will forever remain a bold, brave, beautiful, and vibrant spirit that instilled courage and unity in all of those who had the blessing of knowing her. Her booming laughter will echo in our hearts and in our lives forever, in this life and beyond it.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass Thursday, 11:00 AM, September 19, 2019 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. 29th & Dickinson Sts., Philadelphia, Pa 19146, where friends may call from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM Thursday at the church prior to mass.

Interment SS. Pter & Paul Cemetery.
