Carola Cifaldi Obituary


Carola (nee Wadle) Cifaldi, age 78, of Malvern, passed away on May 4, 2019.  Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Robert A. Cifaldi.  Loving mother of Robert A., Jr. (Amy) and Richard Cifaldi.  Born in Brooklyn, New York, she attended St. Francis Xavier Academy and the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, NY, were she received her bachelor of arts degree in history and political science.

In New York City she worked for Striker Research Associates, a political and economic research firm and Benton and Bowles advertising firm before her employment at Lincoln Center, first as Assistant to the Director of Special Events for the Metropolitan Opera Guild and then Head of the Subscription Department for the New York Philharmonic Symphony Society. She was featured for her work in the October 1969 issue of Mademoiselle Magazine.

In New York, she was active in volunteer work for the Institute of International Education (IIE) and political campaigning.  She also studied art at the New School in New York City.  

After moving to Pennsylvania, she worked for many years for Immaculata University.  Since 1992 she worked in the Public Relations Office as Associate Director of Public Relations, responsible for coordinating all of the university's advertising.  She was also editor of the university alumni magazine Immaculata Today.
 

She was a member of CUPRAP, College and University Public Relations Association of Pennsylvania and CASE, Council for Advancement and Support of Education. 

Locally, she volunteered as a library and reading aide Fern Hill School and as a library aide and member of the Home & School at St. Philip and James Elementary School.  In more recent years, she was a volunteer for the Immaculata University Art Show and the Malvern Retreat House Art Show Committee.

She particularly enjoyed art, loved to travel, and was an avid sports fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass 10:30 AM, Thursday at Ss. Philip & James Church, E. Lincoln Highway,  Exton, Pa 19341, where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:15 AM Thursday at the church prior to mass.
