Anthony Murphy

Anthony Murphy of Springfield, PA  passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2019. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Murphy and his brother, Padriag Murphy. He was born in Bellmullet,County Mayo, Ireland and formerly lived in Yeadon, PA. Anthony worked for over 40 years for the Laborers Local 135.

 Anthony is survived by his wife, Margaret Mary (nee McAndrews), his sons, Anthony Jr. (Melissa) and Eamon (Anne),brothers and sisters, Sean, Michael, Mary, Seamus, Kathleen and Eamonn. Anthony will be missed by his grandchildren (Sean Joseph and Gretchen Maeve).

He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies.

Relative and friends are invited to a Visitation Friday, August 23rd 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at St. Kevin Catholic Church, 200 W Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA followed by a mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery.
