Bridgette "Barbiee" Lutz, a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on April 24, 2023, in Philadelphia, PA. Born November 22, 1993, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Barbiee brought joy and laughter to those who knew her throughout her 29 years of life.
Barbie was the beloved daughter of Kathleen (nee Dwyer) Lutz and George Lutz. Her bond with her family was strong, and she was a cherished sister to her brothers Georgie and Michael Lutz. She was the loving granddaughter of Kathleen (nee Neagle) Dwyer and the late Patrick Dwyer and the late George and Kathleen Lutz. Barbie was also a devoted goddaughter and niece to her Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Kim, niece of Patrick (Tina) Dwyer and a doting aunt to her nieces Aniyah, Alannah (her Goddaughter), and Arrie. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family will always remember her as a loving, spirited, and thoughtful individual who brought light into their lives.
Growing up in Grays Ferry, Barbiee attended St. Gabriel's Elementary School, where she formed lifelong friendships and discovered her love for learning. She continued her education at St. Maria Goretti High School, where she excelled academically and participated in various extracurricular activities.
After high school, Barbiee pursued a career in the legal field, working as a notary and studying to become a paralegal. Her intelligence, ambition, and commitment to her work were admired by her colleagues, friends and family.
Barbiee's interests extended beyond her professional life, and she had a passion for makeup artistry and music. She was a talented makeup artist, known for her creativity and attention to detail in her work. Barbiee's love for music was evident to all who knew her, as she enjoyed attending concerts and sharing her favorite songs with friends and family.
Those who were fortunate to know Barbiee will remember her as a loving, spirited, and thoughtful person. She would do anything for anyone and always had a way of putting others before herself. She went out of her way to help her friends and her family. She had a unique ability to make others feel special and cared for, and her presence would brighten any room. Barbiee's laughter was contagious, and her smile could warm the coldest of hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 9:30 - 10:45 A.M. Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. Gabriel's Church, 2917 Dickinson Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19146 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064.
