Mr. Ronald E. Williams, 86, of West Chester, PA passed away peacefully at home on May 26 surrounded by family after a protracted illness.  Originally from Plainfield, NJ   Ron spent much of his life in Summit, New Jersey with his first wife, Joan Williams.  There they raised three children, Craig, David, and Carol (Miller).

Ron graduated from Plainfield High School where he had an illustrious career both academically and athletically.  Ron excelled at most everything and his efforts brought him to be both President of his Class as well as an outstanding pitcher on the varsity baseball team.  While several professional teams attempted to entice him into their ranks, Ron knew that his future was elsewhere.  He moved on to Dartmouth College where he graduated in 1952.  While at Dartmouth, Ron was also an active member of the Army Reserves.  After matriculation, Ron received his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1954.  Following Wharton, Ron built a career in finance and banking.

Ron worked on Wall Street where his career in investing saw him take positions at Kidder Peabody, Bache & Co. and the United States Trust Company.  For several years Ron was also President of L'Aiglon, a women's clothing manufacturer.  He completed his professional career at Weiss, Peck and Greer, also in New York, as a bond expert and portfolio manager.

In 1993, Ron and his wife, Joan, retired to Atlanta, GA.  There they enjoyed many good years close to their daughter Carol and her family.  Following  Joan's passing in 2000, Ron was called by God and converted to Catholicism.  Ron became a devout Catholic, faithfully attending mass every Sunday, most of which were at Camilla Hall at Immaculata University.

Leaving Atlanta in 2001, Ron moved to Hershey's Mill in West Chester, PA where he met Joan Savoy.  Ron and Joan were married in 2003 and enjoyed thirteen years of marriage.  Ron was very much a family man and enjoyed spending time both with his children and grandchildren.  His world revolved around God and his family, and he left no doubt as to whose side he was on.   For Ron it was always family first; and for them, there was an emotional, caring and giving side that knew no bounds.

Ronald E. Williams is survived by his wife Joan Savoy Williams and her family as well as his three children, Craig, David, and Carol, and their families which include ten grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral mass on Friday, June 3rd, 10:45 A.M. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave., Summit, NJ  07901 with a private interment to follow.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations may direct them to Camilla Hall at Immaculata University, 1145 King Rd., Immaculata, PA  19345.
