Rocco “Rocky” Taraborrelli, 83, of Morton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2016 after a short illness. Rocco was born February 23, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA to Nunziato and Antonette Taraborrelli. He graduated from John Bartram High School in 1949 and immediately joined the United States Marine Corps, serving until 1952. In 1955 he married the love of his life, Rose Marie (Magistro), who passed away in 1996.

After working for the U.S. Postal Service and the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Rocco started his own business, Taraborrelli Painters, and retired 45 years later in 2008. He was a member and past President of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (Del-Mont Chapter), a member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, instructor at Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades, and a former member of the Delaware Valley Optimist Club.

Rocco enjoyed winters with friends in Florida, commiserating over the endless ups and downs of the Phillies and the Eagles; and most of all he loved special times sharing stories and life experiences with his family. He is survived by his three children, J. Randy Taraborrelli of Los Angeles, California; Roslyn (William) Barnett, of West Chester, PA, and Rocco (Rosemarie) Taraborrelli of Williamstown, New Jersey; his grandchildren, Rocco and Vincent Taraborrelli and Jessica and Zachary Barnett; his brother, Arnold Taraborrelli of Madrid, Spain; and his companion for the past sixteen years, Yvette Jarecki, of Exton, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation which will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday June 8, 2016 at SS Philip and James Catholic Church, 107 North Ship Road, Exton, PA 19341.  A celebration of life service will follow at 10:30 a.m.

(SS. Philip & James School Gymnasium will be used as the alternative worship site for the Mass and visitation)
