Mary Ellen (Thompson) O'Brien

Mary Ellen O'Brien, 83, of Bonita Springs, FL, died Friday, September 1, 2016 at Villa St. Joseph in Baden, PA

She was born May 10, 1933 in Philadelphia to the late Edward B. and Helene (Fadden) Thompson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John Michael O'Brien; a son, Kevin Peter O'Brien; and a brother, Gerald Thompson.

Surviving are her two sons and three daughters, James (Patricia) O'Brien, Birmingham, AL; Maureen (Keith) Hoffman, Chesapeake Beach, MD; John Michael (Kim) O'Brien, Hillsboro, OH;Denise (Mark) Robinson, and Mary Ellen O'Brien, Beaver, PA; two brothers, John Thompson, Fl; and Edward B, Thompson, OH; sister, Frances Kotarski, PA; five granddaughters, Elizabeth and Molly Hoffman, Sara Jett, Erin Sheeley, Shannon Barger, and Courtney Afflerbach; five grandsons, John Michael O'Brien III, John Phillip, Edward and David O'Brien, and Joseph Afflerbach; two great-granddaughters, Alexa and Aliza Jett; and two great-grandsons, Edwin Barger, and Isaac Scheeley.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass 10:00 A.M., Friday, Sept. 9th at St. Louis Church, Cobbs Creek Parkway, Yeadon, PA  19050 where friends may call 9-9:45 A.M. at the church.  Private Interment.
