Gertrude V. (McDonald) Dunn

Gertrude Veronica Dunn, 90, of West Brandywine, passed away peacefully at home with her entire family by her side on Saturday, March 18th.  Mrs. Dunn was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Joseph E. Dunn.  She is survived by her nine most grateful children, Joseph E. Dunn Jr, Carol Dunn, Dennis Dunn, Eileen Miller(Martin), Donna Pisani (James), Patricia Malick (John), Paul Dunn (Patricia), Thomas Dunn (Barbara), James Dunn (Annemarie) as well as 21 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, each of whom she took immense delight in spoiling on every conceivable occasion.  Mrs. Dunn (nee McDonald), the 10th of the 13 children of John and Katherine McDonald, was originally from St Anthony of Padua Parish in Philadelphia and graduated from Hallahan High School on D-Day in 1944.  Her interests were entirely focused upon her family but she did enjoy shouting out the answers while watching “Jeopardy” every evening.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass 11:00A.M. Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Peter's Church, 2835 Manor Rd., West Brandywine, PA  19320 where friends may also call 9:30-10:45 A.M. at the Church.  Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pope John Paul II Regional Elementary School, 2875 Manor Rd., West Brandywine, PA  19320.
