Annette Jane (Eckert) Penniman

Annette Jane Eckert was born January 30, 1920 the youngest child of Frederick and Jenny Eckert.  She married Charles Geiger as he was going off to war in 1943.  She had a daughter in 1944 and was divorced in 1946.  She studied to be a missionary and in 1953 moved to a mission field of five small churches in rural central New York.  In 1959 she met Charles Penniman just before moving to Akron, Ohio.  Charles proposed to her and in 1960 they moved to Endicott, New York where they were married.  In 1962 they moved to Philadelphia.  They adopted Nathaniel in 1966 and Annette spent the rest of her life in Philadelphia.  Charles died April 22, 2017 and Annette died May 31, 2017/  She is survived by her daughter Lynda Kinnier and her son Nathaniel Penniman, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 2:30 P.M. on July 20, 2017 at the Church of St. Luke & The Epiphany, 330 S. 13th Street, Phila., PA  19107.  Interment Private.
